Remuneration package valued up to $153,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation.
About the School
Mayfield East Public School is a dynamic public school situated approximately 6 km from Newcastle, on Awabakal Country. Established in 1858, it has a proud tradition of strong community support, an active and supportive Parents and Citizens Association, and a staff comprising early‑career and highly experienced teachers. Selection Criteria
- Approval to teach library with demonstrated ability to manage library resources effectively and create a welcoming and inclusive environment that supports the whole school community.
- Proven capacity to plan and deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based teaching programs, with a strong emphasis on literacy development and key learning areas to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated commitment to implementing meaningful, culturally respectful programs that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout the year, ensuring authentic engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and engage effectively with staff, students, and families, and contribute to a positive whole‑school culture.
Conditions of Employment
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
This is a permanent part‑time position for 4 days, 0.8 FTE.
Applicants must include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
