The role

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about agricultural production and the rural lifestyle to join our team as an Agronomist based at our Cowra branch. You will work closely with our management and branch team and become an integral member of a large and highly experienced wider agronomy team, consisting of over 80 experienced agronomists. You will require a commercial, flexible and positive attitude, as well as possessing a broad range of skills and knowledge of farm input products.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in both pasture and winter crop advisory services.

The role will involve

- Developing professional relationships with existing clients by providing advice on the full range of agricultural products and cutting‑edge agronomic advice to maximise summer and winter crop production.
- Develop relationships with new clients by maximizing opportunities for the promotion of agronomic and consulting services along with other products and services across the Delta network.
- Help drive the adoption of new and evolving technologies including precision agriculture and sensor technology
- Assist in the successful running and co‑ordination of field days and farmer meetings with additional skill in writing technical and management articles where required

To be successful in the role you will

- You must have a relevant degree in agronomy or similar and demonstrated in field agronomy experience.
- You must have a commitment to achieving team goals, commercial business outcomes, and highly developed interpersonal skills and dedication to customer service.
- Have the ability to work cohesively in a team environment
- Genuine interest in both pasture and cropping
- Have a passion for driving whole farm performance through field‑centric technology
- Commitment to innovation and sustainable agronomic and farm management practices.
- Valid drivers licence
