Through continued growth, Senversa has a new opportunity for a Principal with 15+ years’ experience to join our national Sustainability and Climate services team.
This is your opportunity to grow and shape your future with the support of our industry leading staff, who have a proven track record of delivering high quality, strategic, and commercially astute professional services. You will work with, and be supported by, a team of highly qualified and experienced Sustainability and Climate professionals within our Environmental Management & Approvals (EM&A) team and have access to environmental experts and auditors nationwide working on a variety of projects including on energy transition, land remediation and risk management. You will have the opportunity to work with both SMEs and large national and multinational companies across a variety of industry sectors.
At Senversa, our EM&A team is complimented by our Contaminated Land, Engineering and Digital Teams, and together we deliver multi-disciplinary, solution focussed projects for our clients.

So, what will you do?
As a member of the Sustainability and Climate services team you will:
- Contribute to living the Senversa culture by assisting in creating a supportive, nurturing and exciting workplace.
- Lead and actively contribute to the growth of revenues, profitability, brand awareness and overall expansion of Senversa in the provision of quality sustainability and climate services. You will:
- Deliver Climate Impact Services:Guide clients through the complexities of climate-related financial disclosures (including AASB & ASSA5000), ensuring they are prepared for the evolving regulatory landscape and can demonstrate climate transparency.
- Deliver Carbon Solutions:Oversee robust greenhouse gas accounting, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions assessments and inventories, and design practical pathways for emissions reduction and net zero ambitions.
- Tell the Sustainability Story:Prepare compelling, data-driven sustainability reports for clients that communicate impact, progress, and opportunity to stakeholders, investors, and the broader community.
- Identify and Manage Climate Risks:Conduct climate-related risk and opportunity assessments, helping clients anticipate, adapt, and respond to a changing climate, including in the context of climate-related financial disclosures.
- Lead Climate Transition Action Planning: Lead delivery of tailored, practical climate action plans for clients, tailoring them to their appropriate stage of development and ambition.
- Champion Internal Sustainability:Lead and inspire internal initiatives, from sustainability reporting and emissions reduction to third-party accreditations, putting Senversa at the lead of climate leadership.
- Identify Additional Sustainability Services: Monitor client needs and market conditions to identify and expand the range of sustainability services that Senversa delivers. Develop robust methodologies to enable commercial scale delivery and quality assurance.
Highly desirable professional skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor of Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering (e.g. Environmental / Chemical), or other relevant major that includes study in a climate related field.
- Ability to apply a risk-based approach to problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Lateral thinking, problem solving and strong collaboration and team working abilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers, direct reports and clients.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
