Position Information

About the role

The School Administrative Manager plays a key leadership role in the efficient management of school operations, supporting the Principal and executive team to deliver high quality educational and administrative services. The School Administrative Manager leads the school administration team to ensure efficient management of the school’s administrative, financial, and human resources functions, and is responsible for the supervision and professional support of the school’s administrative team.

The applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with the Business Manager.

Essential Requirements

- Working with Children Check Clearance

- First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.

- Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.

Specific Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Capacity to supervise staff.

- Demonstrated capacity to exercise initiative, organise resources and meet deadlines.

- Demonstrated ability to undertake financial and accounting responsibilities including use of computerised financial/administrative systems.

- Effective oral and written communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to manage an office.

- Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community.

- Knowledge of and commitment to the department’s Aboriginal education policy.
