Smarter Power Solutions is seeking the service of a highly competent Mechanical Engineer that is experienced in system design, system prototyping, field commissioning, and performance analysis of systems used in renewable power generation projects. The work will present a wide variety of technical challenges and would suit a candidate who wants:

Role

• Lead projects to install and commission instability detection systems for renewable energy power generation machines across Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

• Analyse and review performance data of previously installed systems and implement performance improvements based on client feedback and updated requirements.

• Development and testing of protypes of new systems in Melbourne Facility.

• Scoping project cost and delivery timeframes to provide accurate client proposals.

• Review detailed technical drawings to procure necessary equipment and components for each project

• Prepare technical documentation such as commissioning test plans and test reports for client and network service provider approval

• Travel to remote project sites for installation supervision and system commissioning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project commissioning and validation.

• Experience SEL AcSELerator Software and Omicron Test Universe software desired but not essential.

• Strong Python coding skill desired.

• Education: Bachelor or higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as with remote teams in our other offices locally and globally.

• Strong ability to work as part of a team in problem solving.

• Possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, having the ability to adapt quickly and work to tight deadlines.
