Sydney, Australia Qantas Airways Full time

Overview

Challenge yourself to lead Cabin Crew’s contribution to the successful delivery of our fleet renewal program.

Together we’ll achieve a seamless and strategic integration of new aircraft into the Qantas operation.

Permanent full-time opportunity based at our Qantas Campus in Mascot.

Role

As the Aircraft Programs Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of Cabin Crew workstreams across multiple aircraft introductions, including the A350. You will represent Cabin Crew in aircraft programs, ensuring alignment with operational, regulatory, customer and commercial requirements. The role includes oversight of WHS consultation and union engagement and requires briefing stakeholders at all levels. You will manage the Cabin Crew workstreams for the end-to-end implementation of new aircraft types into the Qantas AOC, ensuring readiness for entry into service. Responsibilities include developing and executing EIS plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, managing WHS and union consultation and maintaining program governance and communications. You will provide regular updates to Steering Committees and senior leaders and ensure Cabin Crew objectives are met throughout the fleet renewal program.

You’ll have

- Experience leading large, complex projects or programs, ideally involving aircraft type introductions or reconfigurations.
- Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including unions and senior leadership.
- Resilience and sound judgement in navigating complex, high-pressure environments with competing priorities.
- Experience building and managing detailed project plans across multiple workstreams.
- Confidence using project management tools to track progress, manage risks, and support delivery.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to brief and facilitate across all levels of the organisation.
- Commercial and organisational awareness, with demonstrated negotiation capability.
- A collaborative mindset, customer focus, and leadership presence to drive outcomes and support team success.
