Bankstown-Lidcome Hospital is recruiting for a Visiting Medical Officer to complement and enhance the current Gastroenterology Department.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee. Where You'll Be Working
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.
The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. 1. Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the RACP and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973.
2. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice
3. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
4. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level, including supervision of junior medical staff
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development
6. Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including the provision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness to participate in the provision of health services at an LHD level
7. Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster
8. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
