Job Description

Currently we have an excellent opportunity to deliver child & adolescent inpatient psychiatry across Sydney LHD services. They can offer granted private practice rights allowing you to generate income from treating private patients within the public system.

Salary: Up to $550,000 p.a. (£270,000) – inclusive of super, allowance and earnings from private access rights.
Position: Consultant – Psychiatrist (CAMHS) Inpatient
Hours: Full-time
Settings: Adolescent units, including high-dependency areas
Location: Sydney, NSW

Your key responsibilities will be;

- Acute assessment, risk formulation, safety planning

- Evidence-based pharmacology and psychotherapies

- Family meetings and school liaison

- Lead MDT ward rounds and discharges

- ED and medical ward consultation-liaison

- Supervise registrars and medical students

- Governance, audits, and research participation

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has;

- MBBS or equivalent registrable with AHPRA

- Must be on specialist register by CCT and MRCPSYCH

- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary care

- Strong community psychiatry experience
