About the position

The Labourer position performs abroad range of tasks in a construction and/or maintenance teamwithin the Toowoomba Region. The position works as part of a multi‑skilled team to complete program objectives for the maintenance and construction of Council’s infrastructure networks.

This position will work under general supervision.

- The base wage rate for this position is $1,211.85 gross per 38 hour week, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

- This is a Permanent Full time position based at our Crows Nest depot.

About the team

The Construction & Maintenance North (CMN) Branch plays a crucial role in driving capital and operational works projects and across a predominantly rural road and stormwater infrastructure network.

How to be successful in this position

Hold the mandatory qualifications, training and/or experience specific to this position:

- Year10 education and a combination of substantial experience, qualification and competence, or a combination of substantial experience, qualification and competence which enables the incumbent to perform all duties of the position.

- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.

- Working in Proximity to Traffic Awareness Part 1 and 2, or a willingness to obtain within 3 months of commencement.
