Position Information

Narrabeen Sports High School is a dynamic and inclusive 7–12 comprehensive, coeducational high school with an enrolment of 850 students, including 16 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Our significant school upgrade is creating a modern learning environment to support teaching excellence. The school features TAS facilities, a trade training centre, and an Elective Sports Academy. Specific Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach ITW - Industrial Technology Timber and ITX - Technology Mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classes to create safe and supportive learning environments with high expectations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to develop, implement and evaluate programs that support faculty goals and student growth.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, commence the application process concurrently with this opportunity.

Applicants seeking permanent full-time or permanent part-time employment are encouraged to apply. If the recommended applicant seeks permanent part-time (FTE 0.1–0.9), an appointment will be offered at the desired FTE. Applicants on the eligibility list may be offered remaining FTE but are not obliged to accept. Further information is on the merit selection webpage.

Recruitment Bonus: $20,000 (conditions apply). Paid pro rata for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. Maximum recruitment bonus for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.

Relocation Support Payment: $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants.
