Job details:

- Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects on-site
- Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
- Construct, erect, install and repair wooden structures and fittings used in internal and external frameworks
- Cut, shape, fit and assemble wood to make templates, jigs, scale models and scenic equipment
- Cutting construction materials according to specifications, installing window frames and doors, decking, cladding, framing, skirting and architraves
- Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
- Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools
- Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures
- Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment

Selection Criteria:

- Minimum of 3 years' carpenter experience after qualification.
- Complete Certificate III of Carpentry
- Be able to work with others, have good work ethic and an ability to work with clients.
