Information about Agilent is available at**Job Responsibilities**We are currently seeking an experienced and practical fitter and turner or tool maker to work in our prototype machine shop. As a key member in the model shop working in the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, you will be responsible for:* supporting the NPI projects from conceptual design to manufacturing release and turning product design into reality.* be required to work with the product development team closely to explore and challenge the limits of the design* providing manufacturing support including part rework activities and fabricating jigs/fixture to improve the ease of manufacturing.This role would suit someone who has strong machining skills but is also creative and able to solve engineering problems. Besides the CNC/Lathe/Mill operation and programming, the successful candidate will also be a craftsperson, good with all manner of hand tools and enjoy creating sophisticated precision parts.## ## **Qualifications**Key skills required:* Trade Qualifications in Fitting and Turning or Toolmaking* Experience in a low volume production or prototype facility* High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to tight tolerances* Experience in CNC programming* Strong drawing comprehension with a good understanding of GD&T, MBD knowledge an advantage or equivalent experience* A teammate with strong communication* A person with a “can-do” demeanor* Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM Software (e.g. Siemens NX and Siemens NX CAM, Solidworks and SolidCAM, Fusion 360 CAM) would be highly regarded* Experience in 3D printing would also be an advantageThis position is located in Mulgrave, Australia.**Additional Details**This job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
