About the ABC

The ABC is the nation's most trusted and independent source of Australian conversations, culture, and stories. With over 4,500 employees from diverse backgrounds across over 50 locations around Australia and overseas, we are proud to create, curate and deliver high‑quality content that informs, educates and entertains Australian communities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative and financial support to the ABC’s Sydney Metro property portfolio – a diverse and dynamic environment that supports Australia’s national broadcaster every day. You’ll lead the administrative function that enables operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Sydney facilities, ensuring they’re safe, sustainable and aligned with the ABC’s corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

- Processing work orders, quotations and invoices, maintaining accurate records and supporting financial reporting.

- Monitoring budgets, forecasts and cost‑centre reports to ensure accurate and timely expenditure management.

- Coordinating contractors, materials and service delivery across key areas including car parking, amenities, communal hubs and gardens.

- Supporting mailroom operations, loading docks, storage areas and on‑site events to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Providing excellent customer service to building occupants, resolving maintenance issues and service requests efficiently.

- Applying property services policies and procedures, including contractor inductions, financial controls and WHS compliance.

- Supporting emergency management activities as a Floor Warden and member of the Emergency Control Organisation.

About You

You combine exceptional organisational and administrative skills with excellent communication and a service mindset. Prior experience in facilities or property and understanding of building operations would be ideal, however not essential.

Skills and experience

- Experience managing administrative and financial processes, including invoices, reporting and procurement.

- High‑level computer literacy, with proficiency in SAP and the Microsoft Office suite.

- Good understanding of workplace operations and facilities within large or multi‑site environments.

- Proactive, solution‑focused mindset and collaborative approach to improving how things get done.

- Confidence in applying WHS principles and supporting a safe, compliant workplace.

Additional Requirements

- Ability to work full‑time on site and after hours (as required) and to an on‑call arrangement, as under the Enterprise Agreement.

- Possession of a current and valid driver’s licence.
