The Role:

As a Nine Mile Software Engineer – Core Java, you will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our trading systems. Responsibilities of this role will include:

- Deliver focused improvements to the operational robustness and profitability of the trading platform
- Contribute to mission-critical projects encompassing everything from trading, pricing, positions
and risk, through to analytics and market connectivity
- Work flexibly with a focus on real time issues as well as long term projects
- Performance tuning, maximizing throughput and minimizing latency
- Ongoing consultation with the trading team to understand how technology can best satisfy
their needs

What you will bring:

- Core Java focus
- Development in either C++ or C#
- A scripting language, preferably python
- Experience working in High Frequency Trading firm
- Experience working in both Windows and Linux Environments
- Understanding of network protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine interest in financial markets
- Strong academic record in a computer science degree
