What you'll be doing
As a Perioperative Nurse (Casual) you’ll deliver exceptional patient care before, during and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

Provide high‑quality, safe, person‑centred perioperative nursing care.

Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and allied health staff.

Support, mentor and supervise students and junior staff within the clinical setting.

Respond to changing patient needs and delegate appropriately within scope of practice.

Advocate for patients and their families while ensuring effective use of resources.

Essential Criteria:

Registration: Current Nursing Registration (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

Selection Criteria:

Current nursing registration with the AHPRA.

Current perioperative experience in Anaesthetics and/or Recovery speciality areas.

Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

Demonstrated evidence of providing person‑centred care.

Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal.

Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team.

Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancing skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
