Transactions and Investment Advisory – Associate Director to Director Level

Deal origination, capital transactions, off market transactions, funds investment advice, strategy and underwriting, due diligence programs and managing international investors is what you can expect in a standard week in the Urbis Transactions and Investment Advisory Team.

You will:

- Outside our core Transactions and Advisory Team you will often be working in multidisciplinary teams across a wide range of mandates, sector and geographies. You will need to work beyond the numbers collaborating with market researchers, valuers, economists, planners and designers
- Work with Australia's leading institutional owners, manager and super funds and have the ability to adapt to different environments quickly and efficiently.
- Be exposed to international capital investors from south east Asia, Japan, Korea North America and Europe. Second language skills will be highly valued.
- Have strong analytical skills across both investment and development mandates. Our clients will be relying on your advice to inform and make major investment, divestment and development decisions.
- Lead complex acquisitions, disposal and investment advisory projects, shaping deal structures and delivering measurable value for high-calibre local and international clients.
- Build and strengthen relationships with leading global investors, while mentoring teams and driving strategic outcomes across a diverse range of sectors.
- Be able deliver impactful presentations and concise direct written communications.
- Regularly travelling interstate with opportunities for international travel as part of investor road shows.
- You will be joining a high performing, collaborative and inclusive team with high levels of accountability.

As an Associate Director or Director in the Transactions and Investment Advisory team, you'll play a leading role in delivering exceptional outcomes across a diverse portfolio of projects and sectors. You may already be working in capital transactions, agency, or valuation, but are now looking for greater variety — from complex investment strategies to high level deal negotiations. This role offers the opportunity to work on acquisitions, disposals, and investment advisory projects that demand both strategic insight and handson involvement. You'll be shaping deal structures, navigating the intricacies of major transactions, and advising high calibre local and international investors to achieve genuine, measurable value.

Joining our independent, market leading advisory team means working alongside some of the most respected property professionals in the industry, with direct access to senior decision makers and clients. You'll lead and mentor project teams, while continuing to refine your own expertise in client relationship management, financial modelling, and strategic analysis. The variety of projects and depth of client engagement will challenge you, foster continuous learning, and position you to make a lasting impact in the investment advisory space.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of complex property transaction and investment advisory projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and organisational priorities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Identify new opportunities, prepare and present proposals, and contribute to winning work through networking and market engagement.
- Oversee project teams, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Prepare and review market analysis, economic commentary and sector insights to inform client strategies and position the team as industry leaders.
- Guide and review complex cash flow models, feasibility studies and investment appraisals prepared by the team.
- Direct due diligence processes, coordinating inputs from legal, technical and financial advisors, and synthesising findings into clear recommendations.
- Identify strategic, financial and operational risks in transactions and investments, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including investors, developers, government agencies and industry bodies.

About You

- Ideally in a background of capital transactions, agency, investment banking or valuations and advisory
- Solid understanding of real estate valuation methodologies and financial modelling.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Confident in building relationships with clients and industry stakeholders
- Proven track record of building new clients and businesses.
