Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Mathematics Teacher to join their foundation team. Piara Waters SHS is located in Piara Waters, approximately 25 km south of Perth. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and will progress to Year 12 by 2028.
The Role
We are looking for teachers who model excellence in teaching, evidence-based planning and effective instructional practice to support the learning needs of all students. The successful applicants will:
- set high standards while delivering a rigorous curriculum that is challenging and rewarding
- provide relevant programs linked to real-world experiences with a focus on deep learning
- be data literate with effective classroom management skills
- work collaboratively in a team environment and support the development of a positive school culture
- demonstrate flexibility and the ability to teach in other areas as a foundation school
They will work with staff and the broader school community to create high expectations and high-quality teaching, foster positive social relationships and utilise flexible learning spaces to personalise learning, nurturing curiosity, creativity and critical thinking. They should have a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to plan, deliver and assess engaging Mathematics units. Senior school specialisation and experience are encouraged.
