We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and professionalDepartment Sales Managerto provide leadership and direction to our high performing, dedicated sales team at CMI Hino Melbourne.
This is an exciting and rare opportunity for somebody needing a new challenge and who is ready to bring an enthusiastic, dynamic new approach to the business. This position would suit an experienced Manager, ideally with proven sales & leadership experience looking to take the next fulfilling step in their career.
You will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for developing and managing future growth and sales strategies. You will join a highly dedicated, skilled and hardworking team. Coupled with your excellent communication skills you will lead the team to maintain and create lasting relationships with our customers and the franchisor. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and you will quickly become part of a highly professional, high achieving team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage both fleet and retail sales teams to achieve sales, profitability and customer satisfaction targets
- Ensure continual compliance of CMI Hino operational guidelines
- Recruit and performance manage direct reports as required
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge
- Identify objectives, strategies and action plans for sales growth and marketing
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction
- Develop new business opportunities to grow the business
- Collaborate with our marketing team to drive customer awareness and demand
- Work with the General Manager to develop annual forecasts and budgets
- Manage stock volumes and mix
Skills & Experience
- A proven track record building business relationships in automotive or other high-value asset industries
- Proven lengthy experience in sales and/or marketing is desirable
- Strong leadership ability and experience
- High level of communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Advanced negotiation and marketing skills
- Strong commercial acumen, including business and accounting knowledge
- Keen focus on staff development
- Customer-centric approach
- Results and task driven to drive customer demand
