Family Lawyer

Cooper Grace Ward is excited to be extending an opportunity for a Family Lawyer (2 years PAE) to join our leading family law team. You will have the chance to work with and learn from a dedicated team of family lawyers who provide expert practical advice on all family law issues. Your contribution will be recognised and rewarded with career progression encouraged and supported under the mentorship of industry-recognised senior leadership.
The variety of work you will undertake will include (with supervision and training):
- Advising clients in relation to property settlement, parenting, child support, international relocation and all aspects of their family law matters
- Representing clients in mediations and at certain court events
- Preparing and advising on settlement documents, including binding financial agreements
- Assisting clients to apply for or defend protection orders
Requirements:
- 2 years PAE with previous experience in family law
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Empathetic, confident and personable with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in family law
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work
- Dedication to excellence and the delivery of outstanding client service
- Ability to confidently and professionally communicate with team members and clients and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information with appropriate care
- Desire to strengthen and build client relationships to continually contribute to the growth and success of the firm
- Expand your skills with a Family law team that consistently achieves market recognition including rankings in Doyle’s Guide and Best Lawyers Australia
