Senior Treasury Analyst

Play a key role in managing APAC’s Treasury operations and help shape the funding that supports Melbourne Airport’s major growth program.
We are looking for a skilled Senior Treasury Analyst to join our Finance team at Melbourne Airport. Reporting to the Deputy Treasurer, this role plays a key part in managing Treasury operations, supporting an eight billion dollar (and growing) debt portfolio, and helping deliver the financial foundations that support one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure programs.
You will work across Treasury operations, cash management, reporting, compliance, investor relations and transaction execution. Key responsibilities
Treasury operations
- Maintain the Treasury system and ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Oversee Treasury settlements including principal, fees, interest and swap payments.
- Complete rate sets and confirmations.
- Prepare debt rollovers and coordinate notices with banks and the financial control team.
- Manage transactional banking activities and maintain Treasury procedures.
- Prepare interest and treasury expense accruals and maintain borrowing cost schedules.
- Lead half year and full year debt compliance including covenant reporting.
- Produce Treasury reporting and analytics.
- Manage KYC obligations across Treasury activities.
Cash management
- Monitor and help manage APAC’s cash flows and liquidity.
- Work with stakeholders to forecast expenditure for projects and operational needs.
- Support drawdown planning to meet funding requirements.
- Maintain cash forecasting processes and elevate emerging issues.
- Prepare rolling daily and weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Engage with the financial control team and business units to validate assumptions.
- Manage bank engagement and ensure cash returns are optimised within policy.
Hedge accounting and financial reporting
- Support hedge accounting activities for half year and full year reporting.
- Prepare Treasury inputs for financial statements including borrowings and cash flow disclosures.
- Coordinate Treasury deliverables for external audit and respond to audit requests.
Budgeting, forecasting, long term planning and analytics
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long term financial modelling.
- Contribute to updates for debt programs across EMTN, USPP, AMTN and other funding platforms.
- Provide analysis and data inputs for Committee and Board papers.
Investor relations
- Assist in the preparation of six-monthly investor presentations, roadshow materials and rating agency updates.
- Maintain content on the debt investor website and SGX, ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements.
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in finance, commerce or accounting, with CA or CPA advantageous.
- Previous experience in a corporate Treasury environment.
- Strong understanding of debt financing, cash management, hedging and Treasury operations.
- Advanced Excel modelling skills and confidence working with financial data.
- Experience in Treasury operations, compliance and KYC.
- Clear communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Analytical mindset that uses data and practical judgment to guide decisions.
