Studio Manager

Viva Leisure, parent company to hiit republic, one of Australia’s leading fitness companies, is looking for a new hiit republic Studio Manager to join our team in Kingston. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with:

- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry.
- Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors.
- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
- Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand. Skilled in supporting diverse tasks and mentoring future leaders to help them achieve peak performance.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational and formal operational skills. Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively, with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and agility in adapting to evolving business needs.
- Ability to be a role model and live Viva values and behaviours while being passionate about our brands. You will demonstrate professionalism, respect, courtesy and support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Member Experience

- Welcome and engage all members and potential members.
- Follow up on trialists and enquiries promptly.
- Understand members’ fitness levels and tailor training options to suit.
- Drive local marketing initiatives to build community awareness and enhance member experience.

Operational Excellence

- Maintain clean, safe, and well-presented facilities and equipment.
- Manage maintenance requests and ensure equipment is serviced and accessible.
- Oversee safety compliance, audits, and incident reporting.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and complete required administration.

People Management

- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of club staff.
- Prepare rosters, manage payroll, and ensure staffing levels meet business needs.
- Provide inductions, training, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Role model professional behaviours and escalate staff concerns as required.

Class Management, Organisation & Delivery

- Oversee programming and ensure all classes follow hiit republic guidelines.
- Coach and develop Club Coaches to deliver premium class experiences.
- Ensure classes meet health and safety standards with appropriate modifications.
- Introduce new class offerings to keep programming fresh and engaging.
- Personally deliver a minimum of 15 classes per week.
