About the Role

To ensure the back of house areas are maintained in and orderly, attractive and clean manner and to meet the expectations of the Hotel’s guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Anticipates and attend to the guest’s needs and desires.
- Ensures that all floors/storage areas have a good supply of linen.
- Collects all soiled linen and rubbish bags from all working floors and transfers to correct area.
- Collects and places dirty linen in the proper area in preparation of laundry pick up.
- Collects all guest laundry and dry cleaning, ensuring that all room numbers are clearly marked.
- Ensures all service areas are fully stocked, clean and tidy.
- Reports to the Supervisor any maintenance needing attention.
- Takes extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
- Reports any potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor.
- Greets Hotel guests in a polite and courteous manner being careful not to confuse friendliness with familiarity.
- Attends monthly departmental communication, training and information meetings.
- Has a full knowledge of, and practices all of the Hotel’s established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
- Gives assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
