An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Analyst within the Investment Services and Solutions team, based in Sydney. The position offers the chance to work closely with a diverse network of internal and external stakeholders, including portfolio managers, auditors, and investment managers.

As a Senior Analyst Investment Services and Solutions based in Sydney, you will be instrumental in supporting the operational backbone of asset management business units. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing the onboarding of new investment managers and counterparties through diligent coordination of documentation and systems. You will play a key role in negotiating complex agreements while maintaining essential legal records with precision. Staying abreast of regulatory changes will be crucial as you translate these into effective operational practices that protect both clients’ interests and organisational integrity. Monitoring compliance across various portfolios will require your attention to detail as you track derivatives exposure and ensure all reporting obligations are fulfilled.

- Oversee the onboarding process for new investment managers and counterparties by coordinating documentation, due diligence, and system integration activities.
- Assist in the negotiation, execution, maintenance, and management of complex investment agreements and ISDA agreements to ensure all contractual obligations are met.
- Maintain critical legal documents such as Power of Attorney authorisations and Service Level Agreements while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Review and implement ongoing regulatory changes or requirements by staying up-to-date with industry developments and translating them into actionable processes.
- Monitor investment and regulatory compliance including adherence to ASIC Derivative Transaction Rules (Reporting) RG251 to safeguard organisational interests.
- Track derivatives exposure and counterparty risk across multiple portfolios by utilising robust monitoring tools and reporting frameworks.
- Keep comprehensive process documentation current to facilitate transparency, audit readiness, and knowledge transfer within the team.
- Initiate process improvements by identifying inefficiencies or risks in existing workflows and proposing practical solutions for optimisation.
- Engage with internal stakeholders such as portfolio managers, management teams, company secretariat, governance bodies, risk partners, product accounting teams as well as external parties like auditors, lawyers and service providers.
- Support other activities across the Investment Services & Solutions team as required or directed from time to time to ensure smooth operations.

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Legal or a related discipline provide a strong foundation for understanding complex financial instruments and regulations.
- A minimum of three years’ experience within the investment management industry ensures familiarity with operational processes across different asset classes such as fixed income or derivatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in investment operations, documentation handling, or compliance enables you to manage intricate agreements confidently.
- Business acumen allows you to interpret market trends while balancing commercial objectives with regulatory requirements.
- Proven negotiation skills when dealing with investment arrangements help secure favourable terms for all parties involved.
- Risk & compliance management experience ensures that controls are implemented effectively to mitigate potential issues before they arise.
- High attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring all legal documents meet stringent standards.
- A commitment to continuous improvement drives you to seek out efficiencies in processes while developing a broad range of skills relevant to asset management services.
- Critical thinking abilities support your investigation into anomalies or discrepancies within data sets or contractual arrangements.
- Disciplined record keeping combined with systematic approaches ensures information is always accessible for audits or stakeholder queries.
