
Master Data Specialist

The primary focus of the role is to catalogue spares and consumables according to company standards and codification guidelines. The role also involves assisting with processing change requests for catalogued materials.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing new cataloguing requests and change requests within agreed timeframes.
- Providing governance of cataloguing requests, ensuring clear actions for support personnel and quality checks on completion.
- Maintaining consistency across the entire catalogue.
- Defining Material Classification using Item Type definitions & Class Assignment templates.
- Participating in data cleansing activities and special projects as appropriate.
- Advising business end users on cataloguing of various parts and materials.
- Identifying and pursuing cost-saving opportunities where practical.
- Keeping the Master Data Lead informed of issues.
The role has no direct reports but may involve training and coaching team members and customers. Domestic travel to offshore/onshore locations may be required. The candidate will participate in team meetings, report on progress and impediments, and perform other duties as required by the Master Data Lead or Procurement Manager.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of MRO Cataloguing Standards, including Auslang & Oniqua Dictionary guidelines.
- 3-5 years' experience working with SAP Material Master Data.
- Knowledge of Plant Maintenance Master Data & Materials Management principles.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Resilient and enthusiastic in a highly agile environment.
