The Northern Australian Conference is seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Mackay at Carlisle Adventist College. This position, within the School Support department, falls under the Operations category and is a Part-Time Fixed Term, Term Time role 12.5hrs a week + charters. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as on field trips and other school-related activities. Your main tasks will include:

- Operating the school bus in compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards
- Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the bus
- Assisting students with disabilities or special needs during transportation
- Maintaining accurate records of bus mileage, fuel consumption, and student ridership
- Communicating effectively with school staff, parents, and students regarding bus schedules and any changes or delays
- Upholding a positive and professional attitude while interacting with students, parents, and colleagues
- Adhering to the policies and procedures set forth by the Northern Australian Conference

The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, patience when working with children, and a strong commitment to safety. Previous experience as a bus driver in an educational or community setting is preferred. - Valid Qld driving licence with category MRentitlement
- Valid Qld Drivers Authority
- Proven experience as a bus driver, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with the road network in Mackay and surrounding areas
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to maintain a clean and well-presented bus interior
- Flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to punctuality
