About the Role

You will regularly travel to various locations within Greater Brisbane and won’t be tied to one location. When not on assignment, your primary base will be at Slade Pharmacy in St. Vincent’s Northside. On occasion, you may be called on to provide coverage in regional Queensland, including locations like Townsville and the Sunshine Coast.

Specific travel benefits and incentives:

- Incentive Allowance – This is a fixed allowance on top of the base salary.
- Mileage Allowance – Compensation for petrol costs and depreciation when using your personal vehicle for work purposes. TOIL and additional mileage allowances are provided for further travel.
- Overnight Allowance – On occasions where work takes you away for more than a day.

This role also provides the opportunity to diversify your career across multidisciplinary services, including oncology, clinical, and community, with training and support to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products.
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients.
- Support patients, carers, hospital staff and associated employees.
- Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and the proper use of medicines.

About You

You are a versatile Pharmacist who thrives in new environments and enjoys travel. Strong communication skills and adaptability are key. Intern Pharmacists awaiting registration next year, newly registered and Community Pharmacists are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.

Essential requirements

- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions on practice.
- Current driver’s licence and roadworthy vehicle for regular travel.
- Permanent Australian working rights.

Bonus points

- Experience in locum or reliever Pharmacist roles.
- Hospital pharmacy experience.

Hospital experience is beneficial but not required, as structured training provided for you to succeed in the role.
