Base Fee:$12,000 per annum, paid quarterly
Travel Allowance:Daily fee when travelling with national teams (all flights and accommodation arranged and paid by Softball Australia)
Reports to:General Manager Game Development
Location:Flexible/remote role – Head Office located in Albert Park, Melbourne

We’re now looking for aLead Physiotherapistto support our elite athletes and national squads in achieving peak performance. You’ll bring clinical expertise, innovation and collaboration to our High-Performance program, ensuring athletes stay healthy, strong and ready to perform at their best on the world stage.
The Role (What You’ll Be Doing):
AsLead Physiotherapist,you’ll manage and deliver world-class physiotherapy services across our High-Performance programs. This role focuses on injury prevention, management and performance optimisation for national squad members and athlete scholars.
You’ll lead the coordination of physiotherapy services, provide hands-on support at camps and competitions, and work closely with athletes, coaches and performance staff to maximise athlete health, availability and performance outcomes.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Bachelor or Master of Physiotherapy qualification
- Titled APA Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist
- Current AHPRA registration and First Aid/CPR certification
- Current Working with Children or Vulnerable People Check
- At least 5 years’ experience in high-performance sport
- Proven ability to manage injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation programs
- Strong understanding of athlete load management and integrated healthcare models
- Experience using the Athlete Management System (AMS) platform
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with coaches and performance teams
