About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team in Minto, NSW. The ideal candidate will have strong craftsmanship skills, the ability to work from technical plans, and experience producing high-quality cabinetry and furniture for residential, commercial, and specialized applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Interpret work orders, technical drawings, and sample items to determine job requirements.
- Select appropriate materials including solid timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood, and other engineered wood products.
- Operate and program computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to cut, shape, and prepare components.
- Construct cabinets and furniture according to design specifications.
- Install cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms, commercial fit-outs, and other locations as required.
- Produce fittings for specialist applications such as boats, caravans, and items requiring precision work.
- Assemble components into complete furniture and cabinetry units.
- Apply finishes and protective coatings to enhance durability and appearance.
- Install hardware such as hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and related fittings.
- Manufacture frames for chairs, couches, and other furniture pieces.

Skills & Experience

- Proven 1 year experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a related trade role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and plans.
- Proficiency in working with a wide range of wood and engineered materials.
- Experience operating CNC and CAD machinery for precision manufacturing.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
- Trade qualification in cabinet making or equivalent experience is required.
