Council is currently seeking Labourers to support a variety of services across maintenance and construction road crews, as well as other departments. These roles involve traffic control duties, with a focus on the safe set‑up and pack‑down of signage and equipment. In addition, responsibilities will also include general labouring tasks such as concreting, drainage work, maintaining sealed and unsealed roads, and supporting parks and facilities operations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in traffic control and labouring, the ability to operate and maintain small plant, and a proven track record of working effectively both in a team environment and independently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with basic literacy and numeracy, are required in this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

- General Safety Induction for Construction Worker (White Card)

- Control Traffic with a Stop/Slow Bat or willingness to obtain

- Truck licences (MR/HR), varying plant tickets highly regarded

- Traffic Management Implementation Card (Qld) (Desirable)
