Details: Are you an experienced education innovator with a passion for shaping the future of cyber security training? Do you thrive on leading curriculum design projects that connect vocational and higher education with industry? Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking a Learning Designer – Cyber Security TAFE Centre of Excellence (CS TCoE) to lead curriculum design and development innovations across the Centre. This is a leadership position that will drive the design and delivery of pioneering education projects, including micro credentials, higher apprenticeships, and applied research initiatives.
What we are looking for
We’re seeking a motivated education professional with demonstrated leadership qualities and extensive experience in curriculum design and innovation. You will have a track record of working collaboratively across tertiary education, industry, and community organisations to deliver innovative programs that meet workforce needs.
What you will do
- Lead and facilitate curriculum design and development across educational and innovation projects, including micro credentials, qualifications, and higher education products.
- Drive innovation in AI-enabled curriculum and resource design and development.
- Oversee the Incubator Hub establishment and operations, providing curriculum expertise and supervision of applied research projects.
- Oversee pilot training projects, including co-designed programs with universities and industry, higher apprenticeships, and priority cohort training.
- Provide expert advice to produce innovative, quality, future-focused training products and resources.
- Collaborate with Cyber and ICT Heads of Department to lead SME input into curriculum design and delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with TAFEs, higher education institutions and industry to support project deliverables.
- Support the Program Lead, Centres of Excellence to establish and implement project plans.
- Represent CIT at a range of fora with stakeholders, including media, industry, and government.
What you need
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to lead through change and manage collaborative projects.
- Extensive experience in curriculum design and development across VET and higher education.
- High-level knowledge of instructional design and innovative, student-centred learning approaches.
- Comprehensive understanding of ASQA and TEQSA regulatory compliance and standards.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to represent CIT at a senior level.
- Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment and manage competing priorities.
