Radiation Therapist - Icon Cancer Centre Gosford Our high performing Gosford centre is looking for a new addition to the RT team.

- 12-month Full‑Time contract –Gosford, NSW

Icon Cancer Centre Gosford is equipped with cutting‑edge technology, including the Varian Halcyon linear accelerator, advanced surface‑guided radiation therapy, motion management systems, and a WoMed Superficial Unit. Treatment planning is performed using Eclipse Treatment Planning System, all within a fully paperless environment supported by the integrated Aria oncology information system. Our centre delivers a wide range of treatment techniques, from stereotactic radiotherapy to conventional methods such as Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) for breast cancer and VMAT/IMRT for various tumour sites.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team at Icon Cancer Centre Gosford. This full‑time, 12‑month contract role is focused on delivering high‑quality radiation therapy planning and treatment as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Reporting to the Clinical Lead Radiation Therapist, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work at our outreach centre located at Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital, where they will be involved in radiotherapy simulation and planning.

- Deliver high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centred radiation therapy planning and treatment in accordance with prescribed protocols and relevant safety and quality standards.

- Uphold the highest standards of patient care, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance service quality and patient experience.

- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely and comprehensive care that meets individual patient needs.

- Demonstrate a strong patient focus, treating all patients and their carers with respect, dignity, and equality.

- Contribute to a high‑performance culture by supporting a collaborative and patient‑centric approach to care delivery.

Skills & Experience

- Proven technical proficiency in radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.

- Experience with Eclipse Treatment Planning System is highly desirable.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and effective relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high‑quality radiation therapy services.

- Ability to follow clinical protocols and procedures with precision.

- Understanding of service delivery within the private healthcare sector.

- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

- Current AHPRA registration as a Radiation Therapist and a valid NSW Radiation Use Licence.
