
Software Engineer

What you will do
The Software Engineer role will work within the Volvo Group Digital & IT team, responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining a portfolio of applications, whilst ensuring application reliability and security.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Maintaining and improving existing .NET, C#, Blazor web applications
- Taking ownership of end-to-end delivery of new applications and features, including requirements gathering, database design, coding, testing, deployment, and support
- Designing, implementing, and optimising SQL Server databases
- Participating in Agile meetings (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Planning and coordinating small projects and activities, including reporting on progress and risks
- Documenting technical designs and solutions, as well as preparing training or support materials
- Ensuring coding standards, best practices, and securing development guidelines are followed
- Participating in workshops and stakeholder meetings to capture requirements
Your future team
Reporting to the Data and Digital Solutions Manager, you will work alongside a team of 8, made up of Data and Process Analysts and Masterdata & Systems Support Specialists. Your team forms part of the greater Digital & IT group of 33 employees. The Digital and IT business unit are a group of personable and collaborative individuals who work well across the various departments and are always happy to lend support where it is needed. You will be based full time at our Wacol Head Office.
