About the role

We are looking for casual Support Workers “Cleaning, Laundry, & Catering” for our residential home at Cowandilla. As a passionate and experienced Hospitality Assistant, you will work as a member of our large hospitality team.

Catering

You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering and presentation while handling, preparing, and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the catering service to meet residents’ food requirements, including food preparation, storage, hygiene, distribution, and serving meals.

- Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.

- Assist with the preparation of the dining rooms.

- Work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.

- Adhere to infection control, manual handling, and WHS procedures.

- Maintain efficient and open communication.

What you bring

- Experience in basic food preparation (preferred but not essential).

- Experience with micro-fibre cleaning (preferred but not essential).

- Excellent customer service approach, friendly and bubbly personality.

- Effective time management skills and experience in a fast‑paced environment.

- Basic understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia, including those who display challenging behaviours, and basic knowledge of the Aged Care standards (highly regarded).

- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission‑based organisation.
