Senior Practitioner – Family Support & Safeguarding Team
Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Family Support & Safeguarding Team to work full time based in Cambridgeshire. The salary for this Senior Practitioner job is up to £47,277 per annum.
The successful candidate will provide professional leadership in situations with highly complex case arrangements for assessment and support planning, deputise for the Team Manager when required, and undertake timely assessments in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Provide professional leadership in complex case arrangements for assessment and support planning.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required, including responsibility for all key duties in their absence.
- Undertake timely assessments in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Plan, implement, and review services, actions, and processes for children and young people.
- Chair and attend relevant childcare meetings to ensure outcomes are met through support, equipment, adaptations, and enabling programmes.
- Provide written and verbal reports for various settings, including court, that are concise, informative, and based on analysis of complex evidence.
- Manage the planning, allocation, and review of workload for direct reports.
- Assess and balance risk and protective factors within a safeguarding framework.
- Provide advice and guidance on case management and effective risk management of complex situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records safely and confidentially.
- Supervise Social Workers and Child Practitioners, including overall responsibility for case outcomes.
- Prioritise activities and resources to meet team objectives, including effective workload management.
- Carry out duties in a timely and responsive manner, in line with Cambridgeshire County Council standards and behaviours.

Requirements of this Senior Practitioner role:
- A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Social Work England registered.
