The Department
The Occupational Therapy Service at Alfred Health operates across The Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals, with clinical services aligned to Alfred Health's strategic goals and operational performance targets.
The Role
We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team in a casual capacity working at The Alfred Hospital. We are interested in someone who has capacity to work either during weekdays, weekends or public holidays. Our service is continuing to expand and there are endless opportunities that present through our organisation.
The areas of work include:
- Emergency department
- General medicine
- Burns and trauma
- Neurosciences
- Trauma & orthopaedics
- Hand therapy
- Acquired brain injury
The successful applicants will be responsible for clinical service provision within the allocated stream in the Alfred Health occupational therapy service and units.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or recognised equivalent
- Eligible for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia
- Registered to Practice with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- Strong core clinical Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills
- Effective interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work well within a team environment and relate to medical, nursing and allied health staff, patients and families
- Recent experience working in acute or subacute inpatient hospital services
- A current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Working with Children check
