Our client is a leading organisation operating across multiple sectors and is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage Payroll operations across multiple pay groups in Australia. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing while contributing to system improvements and legislative updates.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee, review, and approve payroll for multiple entities fortnightly and monthly.
- Ensure compliance with Payroll Tax, superannuation, PAYG, and workers' compensation (WorkCover) requirements.
- Lead payroll-related projects, including system integrations and process improvements.
- Manage end-of-month and end-of-year payroll reconciliations and reporting.
- Stay updated with legislative changes and implement necessary system updates.
- Serve as the functional lead for payroll system configurations and enhancements.

Ideal Candidate:

- Australian Tax Law requirements and awards.
- Extensive experience in payroll processing, compliance, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax regulations, and superannuation requirements.
- Desirable system experience with DataPay, Workday, and HRIS.
- Proven ability to manage payroll system integrations and drive process improvements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage high-volume payroll operations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
