Overview

A loving family in Burleigh Waters, QLD are seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their children aged 4 (G), 2 (B) and a newborn baby girl. The days and normal hours are 2 days per week: Mondays 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm and Fridays 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm, with occasional later finishes on Fridays subject to the nanny's availability.

Responsibilities

- Care for all the children, following the family’s routine; Mum will be in the house and available to help as needed.
- Play and engage with the children; take them to activities such as playgrounds and walks.
- Light household duties related to the children (tidying, dishes, vacuuming, making children's beds; note: a fortnightly cleaner is available).
- Help prep/cook meals for the children; handle children’s laundry.
- Occasionally pick up older children from Kindergarten or daycare and run errands; a valid driver’s license is required. The family car will be available for these trips.

The family’s expectations from their nanny

- Minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
- Current first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Current Blue Card
- Strong communication skills and English proficiency
- Child safety practices
- Full driver’s license and clean driving record
- Basic cooking skills and food safety

Working environment and qualities

The family is seeking a nanny who is very confident with babies as well as pre-school age children, trustworthy, reliable, adaptive, and able to form a positive, long-term bond with the family. The family has a 6-year-old Golden Retriever who does not require care.
