About the Role
In this role, you will support the Financial Accounting Manager in monitoring all financial data ensuring the accuracy of financial reports covering balance sheet, statement of profit & loss, and internal management reports. You will be responsible for contributing to tax compliance by ensuring all submissions are accurate and punctual. Additionally, you will manage the timely submission of both internal and external audit requirements in accordance with relevant schedules.
This role is a 12-month contract position.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly journals and accrual entries.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigating and clearing reconciling items.
- Ensure contributions for Monthly Payroll Tax, Quarterly BAS, Annual FBT Returns, Annual Tax Returns, and other ad hoc tax requirements are accurate and submitted on time.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
- Support external and internal audits related to Financial Accounting and Compliance.
- Identify and implement solutions to streamline month-end processes.
- Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation.

What we’re looking for
You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:
- 2+ years in a similar role.
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
- Strong stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- CPA qualified preferred or progressing towards.
- Time management abilities & evidence of strong adherence to deadlines.
