Overview

Casual Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Nurse – Requisition ID 9733. Casual position in Health and Wellbeing Services, reporting to the MCH Team Leader. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Casual MCH Nurse

- Casual position
- $60.02 - $64.65 per hour plus 25% casual loading and super

Based with the City of Boroondara, this role offers an opportunity to work with an experienced MCH team in casual capacity.

Duties

- Promote healthy outcomes for children and their families
- Provide a comprehensive approach to managing the physical, emotional or social factors affecting families in contemporary communities
- Provide opportunities for social interaction of the parent and child
- Provide families with timely, accurate and relevant information and resources to assist them achieve and maintain maximum health potential

Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated clinical experience in Maternal & Child Health
- Commitment to family‑centred practice within an integrated early years service model
- Awareness of child and family health issues, normal child development, family dynamics and promotion of maternal wellbeing
- Ability to use computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and CDIS

Qualifications & Employment Requirements

- Post graduate qualification in Maternal & Child Health Nursing (Essential)
- Registered General Division 1 Nurse & Midwife qualification recognised by AHPRA (Essential)
- Satisfactory completion of a National Police Record Check & Working with Children Check
