Position Description

RJH psychiatry hospitalists are a consultant service working closely with psychiatrists who are the MRP (both adult and geriatric). They provide medical care on psychiatric floors, including emergency and ward care, admission consults, and ward rounds for medical concerns, consulting specialists as needed. The successful candidate may be required to provide after-hours on-call services from 1700-0800, responding promptly to phone calls from nursing/psychiatry regarding acute medical issues and assessing patients as needed (infrequent).

Start date: As soon as possible

Additional Information

Part-time/locum, typically 5 weekdays per month, with occasional weekends. Preference for someone able to commit approximately 1 week/month, but flexibility exists.
