About the role

Reporting to the Transition Service Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:

- Facilitating AHP lead therapies across multiple disciplines – may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, speech pathology and/or diversional activity groups

- Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP

- Providing basic education to patients/groups of patients as directed by AHP staff on discreet topics

- Assist in maintaining clinical and patient equipment and associated records

About you

- Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent

- Experience working in a service environment

- Sound communication and interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate the ability to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds

- Ability to act responsibly in an emergency situation, with an ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per the division’s procedures
