**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Physiotherapy Department**as an** Allied Health Assistant,**where you will be responsible for:

- Day to day service provision to support patient care activities for inpatients and outpatients.
- Direct patient care under the indirect or direct supervision of Physiotherapists including assistance with interventions in the inpatient and outpatient setting, this includes, but is not limited to, patients with neurological, respiratory and orthopaedic conditions.
- Routine testing of hydrotherapy pool chemical levels and water quality.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Hold or be working toward Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Experience in a patient care setting or in assisting a health care professional
- Physical strength, flexibility, and endurance sufficient for manual handling of patients and equipment
- High levels of professionalism and effective communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Effective time management skills
