City of Hobart, Australia HardyGroup International Full time

Applications close: Wednesday 15th October 2025

THE OPPORTUNITY

Streamliners is a purpose-driven, Christchurch-based organisation with a global footprint, dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people around the world. Established in 2000, the company has grown into a profitable $25m enterprise employing more than 170 people, with operations spanning New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Canada. Its flagship service, HealthPathways, is used daily by tens of thousands of clinicians across over 60 health systems caring for more than 35 million people.

With strong long-term member relationships, and a unique ownership model through the Joined Up Systems Trust (80%) and NZ Health Innovation Hub Management Limited (20%, a subsidiary of Te Whatu Ora-Health New Zealand), Streamliners is well positioned for its next phase of international expansion, technology transformation, and service innovation. This is an opportunity to lead a globally respected, socially purposed enterprise from its Christchurch headquarters and shape its impact for years to come.

THE ROLE

The Chief Executive Officer will lead Streamliners and its subsidiaries through a period of growth, consolidation, and renewal. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will:

- Drive international expansion and ensure Streamliners continues to scale sustainably.
- Consolidate and retain Streamliners’ strong customer base, safeguarding value and partnerships in a period of financial pressure for health systems.
- Oversee operational excellence, including technology renewal and adoption of AI to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Strengthen relationships with governments, health leaders, and international partners, positioning Streamliners as a trusted global leader in health system improvement.
- Inspire, coach, and unify a capable executive team, embedding accountability, resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Champion the organisation’s purpose and values, ensuring that culture remains a source of strength and engagement.

THE CANDIDATE

The Board is seeking a values-driven leader with proven success in complex, multi-country organisations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Executive leadership – experience as a CEO or senior executive with direct board accountability, and a record of leading high-performing teams.
- Cultural integrity – high emotional intelligence, authenticity, and the ability to re-engage and inspire teams after periods of disruption.
- Strategic growth capability – ability to develop and execute international strategies that translate vision into sustainable outcomes.
- Commercial strength – strong financial literacy and contract negotiation skills, ideally within subscription or partnership-based models.
- Operational excellence – confidence leading technology-enabled transformation, including adoption of AI, to improve efficiency and impact.
- Service excellence – a commitment to delivering high-value services and solutions to members, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term partnership.

This is a rare opportunity for a leader with both commercial acumen and social purpose to influence health and wellbeing outcomes internationally, while guiding a respected New Zealand-based organisation into its next chapter of growth and innovation.
