About the position

The City Works Department is seeking a skilled Drainage & Sweeper Operator to join our dynamic and fast paced team.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Support civil infrastructure maintenance tasks in accordance with all works programs
- Safe operation of Councils Street sweeping trucks and equipment
- Ensuring all tools, vehicles and equipment are used correctly, maintained in a safe operational condition and all hazards/defects are reported to the Team Leader
- Maintain accurate records of completed tasks as required by the Team Leader

This is a permanent full time role.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have

- Current Driver Licence/ Medium Ridged truck
- Construction or trades related industry experience with Street Sweeping operating
- Industry experience in road sweeping operating maintenance
- Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment relating to civil maintenance
- An understanding of safe work practices

This position is remunerated at Band 3A $69,665.28 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
