Global Infrastructure Group is seeking Wireless Telecommunications Technicians to work on various telecommunications projects in Victoria.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for installing and commissioning all types of fixed and wireless network equipment, including BTS equipment. They will also assemble, erect, position and label equipment, as well as install, test and maintain telecommunications transmission equipment.

A key aspect of this role is analysis of system faults, decommissioning of old transmission equipment and completion of appropriate process documentation.

Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Working at height certification
  • Construction Industry white card
  • RF awareness certification
  • First aid certification
  • Current drivers licence
  • Demonstrated skills in fault diagnosis
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) and sound computing skills
  • Experience with Ericsson technologies
  • Experience with Telstra, Optus and VHA installations standards (preferable)
  • Transmission and Microwave experience (preferable)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe working practices
