About the Hotel
The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European style 'Grand Hotel', situated on Spring Street and located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. The hotel is committed to standards of excellence in everything it undertakes, and a rare and exciting opportunity is available for a professional to lead our dynamic kitchen team as a full-time Head Chef.

About the Role
This is a position for professionals who are willing to bring commitment, hard work and passion to our exciting brand. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, managing the day to day operations of a busy kitchen environment. The ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment is essential.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
· Extensive culinary experience with at least three years in a similar role
· Trade Qualification
· An in-depth knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques and food presentation
· A meticulous approach to food preparation, plating and quality control to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes
· A proven track record of successfully leading and inspiring teams to cultivate a positive work environment
· Strong communication skills that enable you to effectively collaborate with your kitchen team, the front of house team and suppliers
· Excellent time management abilities that enable you to effectively multitask in a fast-paced, kitchen environment
· Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing business needs and easily adjust strategies to meet the dynamic nature of the business
· A thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations with the ability to implement and maintain them in the kitchen
· An understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, food cost control and revenue optimisation to contribute to the venue's profitability
· Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and public holidays
