Salary per hour (exc. super): $166.89 - $221.19
Hours per fortnight: Up to 28 hours p/f - Multiple Positions Available

Role Description

This is an ongoing Fractional appointment creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Interventional Cardiologist to join our Cardiology team. The successful applicant/s will provide consultative services at a regular Outpatient Clinic, ward duties and a range of vital interventional cardiology services including diagnostic coronary angiography, cardiac catheterisation, temporary pacing, pericardiocentesis, hemodynamic studies, and both primary and elective percutaneous coronary intervention including fractional flow reserve studies and intravascular ultrasound/OCT, and STEMI On-call, as required. We are looking to build a collegiate interventional cardiology consultant team with a passion and commitment to providing excellent care to Bendigo and the Central Victorian region. This is a highly rewarding role with the ability to make a substantial difference to the care and outcomes of a large proportion of people in the region with a high burden of cardiovascular disease.

The Cardiology Team

The team is part of Bendigo Health’s Ambulatory and Critical Care (ACC) Directorate. The Cardiology department has its own bed card and also provides a consultative service to other specialties as requested.

The team consists of Cardiologists, Cardiac nurses, Cardiac technologists and Cardiac Sonographers, a Cardiology registrar and an intern. The Cardiology department is responsible for patients in several departments including inpatient wards, emergency department, ICU/CCU in addition to Cath Lab and Cardiology outpatients.
