Your role will primarily involve reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, supporting corporate transactions, and contributing to governance and compliance activities. You’ll also play a key role in refining internal legal processes and templates to support efficiency and consistency across the business. Beyond this, you’ll gain valuable exposure to a broad spectrum of legal work including regulatory and compliance matters, company secretarial responsibilities, and engagement with external legal counsel. Responsibilities - Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts - Support corporate transactions, including joint ventures, project investments, and mergers and acquisitions - Provide guidance on company governance, board documentation, and maintain statutory registers - Support compliance with regulatory obligations, including WHS, privacy, and modern slavery reporting - Coordinate and manage external legal counsel when required - Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, processes, and matter management tools - Stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments relevant to LMS’ business - Provide general legal support across the business as required. Requirements - Completed Bachelor of Law with a current practising certificate (or eligible for admission) - 1–2 years of experience in private practice or in-house legal role - Experience in contracts, or in litigation, corporate, or property law - Commerce or business degree and/or experience at an accounting firm are highly regarded - Strong understanding of contract law and willingness to learn under supervision - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills - Australian Drivers Licence - Upholds LMS’ company values and culture Please email applications to employment@lms.com.au, quoting job reference COR-073-081025.
