Team Leader - Child Health (0.8 EFT) Permanent Position
Grow your leadership role to provide guidance and operational management to a strong and passionate multidisciplinary Child Health Team at Holstep Health. We are looking for an experienced team leader to deliver high - quality care to children and families in our communities.
This part time role is based across West Heidelberg and Coburg and surrounding suburbs. You will drive a work place culture that supports innovation and growth and build sustainable partnerships that support the strategic direction of the organisation. You will be responsible for the implementation of best practice standards to ensure the safety, effectiveness and efficiency of the team's service delivery. You will report to the Manager of Aged and Primary Care - Children's Health.
The Children's Health Team is a multidisciplinary team of Paediatric Speech Pathologists, Paediatric Occupational Therapists, Child & Family Psychologists, Paediatric Allied Heath Assistant and a Paediatric audiologist.
The Team Leader-Children's Health is responsible for the overall performance of the team including:
Service planning, implementation, evaluation and clients/stakeholder participation
Staff management, clinical leadership and performance monitoring
Develop and maintain partnership with key stakeholders for service growth and development
Quality improvement, support, innovation and other new initiatives
Ensure that clients have a positive experience
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the overall strategic directions of the Primary Care - Children's Services as part of the leadership team.
Provide guidance and operational management to the Children's Health Team including day-to-day support, debriefing, task focused supervision, monitoring workflow, case loads, and targets
Lead and promote team activities that support the person centred care approach, social model of health and targeted priority groups
Provide regular reports to the Manager, Primary Care - Children's Health of the teams' progress and achievements and identify and communicate team issues as required
Commitment to continuing professional development and support the Child Health Team in their development and accomplishment of professional goals
Participate in networks and establish and maintain links to other relevant bodies as directed by management and as appropriate
Be responsible for team outcomes, ensuring targets and funding requirements are met, and good external relationships are maintained.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
To be successful with Holstep Health, you will go above and beyond to achieve great results for our clients, the organisation and yourself. We're looking for individuals with:
Degree qualified in relevant clinical discipline and professional registration, and/or a postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of child health
Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising a multidisciplinary child health team and providing therapy services to children
Highly developed organisational, interpersonal, communication skills (written and oral) and computer literacy skills
Understanding of community health principals and demonstrated ability to ensure child health services are inclusive, safe and culturally appropriate.
Ability to lead and manage change
Ability to facilitate effective teamwork by providing leadership, support, mentoring and supervision to the team members
Experience with data collection and analysis, and the ability to develop, implement and evaluate group and individual programs
Demonstrated ability to develop and support the growth of others, as well as drive a workplace culture that supports innovation and growth
Knowledge of clinical governance frameworks for health services, Child Safe Standards and MARAM frameworks and guidelines
