About the roles

As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disabilities. The assistance you will be required to provide will differ on the support needs of each client, however a Day in the life of a Support worker for these roles will include

- Supporting participants with complex needs and in all aspects of daily life – acquired brain injury, mealtime management plan, enteral feeding-PEG, mental health, manual handling, personal care.
- Community Access and Participation – confidence in active support and engaging in community events.
- Complex behaviours – mental health care plan, ABI, behaviour support plans.
- Weekday and weekend supports – morning, afternoon and evening shifts.

Skills & Experience

- Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Employees may be required to transport clients in their own car, which must have Third Party insurance at minimum
- Experience or education in Disability or Mental Health will be highly regarded
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
